In 2011, EGYWEB organized an online competition to promote the new Audi A1 car. The competition was simple : Submit a video explaining why you should own an A1 and have your friends vote for you. The most voted for video wins an A1.
The competition was administered over Facebook. Over 80 submissions were made and each of the top 5 runners received more than 4000 votes. The competition was promoted in a media plan executing ads on facebook, ContactCars.com, Cairo360.com, and other local portals.
The page have received 45,000 fans in response to the event, which created the buzz. Audi let go the car to the lucky winner in an event organized by partner agency Memac Ogilvy. Watch the winner video here.
In 2012, EGYWEB launched the Audi Egypt official page, featuring detailed car specs of the entire model range, and short contests. The page gathered 14K fans in a few weeks.
The page is moderated by EGYWEB team within the guidelines and brand personality relayed by Audi.
