What's that?

The word 'family' is the only translation I managed to find. Generally, families resemble the idea of university 'clubs' : A group of students of common interests participating in activities they find interesting under an organized management scheme and under the supervision of the Faculty.

There are lots of families in our faculty, and they vary from groups of friends (eg : The Pioneers, to which I belong) and upto more organized groups. Sometimes families are confused with 'Lists' of people participating in the Student Union elections.

Their Activities

Families organize varying activities, from country-side trips upto on-concert plays. Although most of the activities are on a small scale due to lack of financial support, but they may really have a special taste.

Which one to choose ?

You have lots of time for this so don't rush. Most of the programs they announce for first year students are FAKES. Remember that people who talk a lot do a little. Why don't you consider making your own family?
