Histology is the science concerned with the study of the microscopic structure of different body tissues and its relation to function.

Histology syllabus covers all body tissues in 2 years. Although this subject is light compared to other subjects, you must not neglect it in your study schedules and make sure you gain command of it because this will help you very much in Pathology, 3rd year.

You will be instructed to draw a copybook containing practical slides with special colours. Please take this advice : do not postpone the copybook to the end of the year, as you'll have no time for it, besides, you can learn as you draw and you won't feel the burden of drawing 70+ drawings at one time.

Histology Practical sections involves seeing microscopic slides. Do not get upset if you can't identify the slides, or can't memorize them. You'll have plenty of chance to do so in the revision sessions at the end of the year, but make sure you ATTEND the practical sections.
