Should I attend Lectures?

YES! Definitely, attending a lecture will benefit you somehow, although the extent of benefit varies according to lecturer, subject, your will to concentrate, etc.

Rules to follow :

  • Attend all Physiology lectures.
  • If you plan to drop a lecture, make sure you keep updated about the content of it. We used to make a nice procedure : each lecture that our group doesn't attend, we would send a different embassador to sit, write and concentrate in the lecture to tell us what happened.
  • If you want to concentrate, sit away from your friends.
  • Do not attend with your girl/boyfriend.
  • Do not enter a lecture late, as you won't follow easily
  • If you don't want to attend a lecture : what about sitting in the lecture-room and, say, draw that delayed histology diagrams in your histology copybook?
  • Do not write a lot.
  • If you bring your walkman with you, don't take cassettes of songs, etc.
  • You can sleep if you're bored, but don't go out.
  • Don't take private lessons, or you won't have time to attend lectures.
  • Try making a relationship with your lecturer by writing some questions on a piece of paper and giving it to him before the lecture. You'll concentrate to hear the answers.
  • CONCENTRATE!
